What to do with a free Scirocco for the day
The brief was to take 4 Volkswagen cars and shoot them in an Irish setting. The photos taken would offer alternatives to left hand drive cars, shot in very sunny climates sent by the car companies. So with the brief answered and 4 free cars at our disposal, what to do?....

Introducing the Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TSI DSG. Why anyone would want a car quicker than this is beyond me. With 210bhp this car is an absolute rocket with acceleration that just leaves you giddy with excitement and checking your mirrors for traffic police. The poise and precision with which it holds the road has you considering things that you wouldn't normally consider, things like, "I could make that small gap in the traffic". The DSG auto gear box is silky smooth in its charging up and down the gears and the 'phut' noise the exhaust makes as it drops a gear is wonderful.... I must admit that I'm smitten by this machine.
We at Originate thought it was time to make a car ad. With countless hours of Top Gear seen over the years it was time to put all that car filming research into practice. We went and hired some film equipment such as a 'suction cup mounted rig' for the camera car, a 'jib' for the pan shot over the roof and some walkie-talkies to co-ordinate ourselves whilst driving.
